Overview
The 10” hand crimping tool is designed for precise round crimping and clean wire rope cutting in a compact body.
The tool head integrates four round crimp holes sized 0.1–0.5 mm, 0.5–1.0 mm, 1.0–2.0 mm, and 2.2 mm,
covering fine-to-medium wire diameters for consistent compression of sleeves, ferrules, and terminals.
Both side faces of the tool head feature dual cutting mouths for efficient cutting of wire rope in the range of Ø1–4 mm.
Key Features
- Four round crimp holes: 0.1–0.5 mm, 0.5–1.0 mm, 1.0–2.0 mm, 2.2 mm.
- Dual side cutting mouths for wire rope Ø1–4 mm.
- Hardened Cr-Mo cutting edges for durable, clean cuts.
- High-carbon steel head for strength and consistent crimp deformation.
- Ergonomic PVC grip handles, compact 10” (254 mm) length for field use.
- Suitable for common constructions (e.g., 7×7 / 7×19) depending on material hardness.

Recommended Capacity
- Soft wire rope: up to Ø4 mm (crimp/cut within specified ranges).
- Aircraft cable: typically up to Ø3 mm; confirm exact construction and hardness.
- Stainless steel wire: recommended up to Ø2–3 mm depending on grade and hardness.
- Hard steel wire: recommended up to Ø2–3 mm; use controlled force to avoid edge damage.
- For precise capacity, specify construction (7×7 / 7×19) and material (galvanized / stainless).
Notes: Actual cutting/crimping capacity is affected by wire rope construction, material grade, and hardness.
Stainless and hard steel wires may have lower effective limits. Always verify with sample tests.
Technical Details & Safety
- Use appropriate crimp hole corresponding to wire diameter for consistent compression.
- Position wire rope fully into side cutters; apply steady, controlled force.
- Avoid twisting during crimping/cutting to prevent tool and wire damage.
- Wear eye protection and gloves; keep fingers clear of cutting edges.
- Do not use on live electrical wires; ensure rope is de-tensioned before cutting.
- Maintain by cleaning and light oiling; inspect edges for wear or chips; replace if damaged.
Applications
- General wire rope fabrication and field service.
- Signage, balustrade, architectural rigging, and light-duty marine use.
- Workshop assembly of ferrules and terminals requiring round crimp profiles.
Package & Accessories
- Standard: tool in protective sleeve or carton (TBD).
- Optional: replacement cutting edges (if available), maintenance kit (TBD).
